A Little Catch-Up

Hidden Secrets: Well, let's just say that it's coming along... haha! You know, having written the first one of these books starting in eighth grade, I can see how my style of writing has developed and changed to where I am now. I would not say that I am not "proud" of "The King's Daughter", because I love it like a child, and I am so intrigued by the characters and places I have created, as well as the scenarios and conflicts. But! I do know that it could use a little more touching up here and there to become (maybe, hopefully, one day) a "masterpiece". I am completely infatuated with the idea of "The Prince's Assassin" (or at least the characters), but I do know that it also requires a little more work to get to a "Great" standing point. I can't wait! to get to work on it more though, and to mold it until it can gleam up on a pedestal of its own! To be quite honest, I am slightly confused myself as to what I am doi…

Procrastination at its Finest

Well, I suppose I might not call it "procrastination", but it falls somewhere along the lines between having a very busy schedule (not having enough free time to write here), and simply trying to put it off for the thought that my life isn't really that exciting (nothing to talk about). However, I suppose that that is not the best way to keep you up to date. :) As you know, I am graduating in June (19 weeks away!). Because I am graduating though, I have my extra classes that I am taking (and now have to work hard to finish in time). So, my priorities have shifted slightly... :/

I LOVE my writing, and all of the free time that I have allocated for doing just that... but with school work seeping in like a bad ink stain on a crisp sheet of paper, I cannot just ignore the stain. D: I do love my extra classes though! Especially my 12th grade English 4 which I learned is almost exactly what I want to study in college (English Lit/ history).

I do expect and hope that by the sta…

Some New News: Graduating 2015

I don't believe I ever shared with you this, but it is something very important to me, and is something that is upcoming! There are two primary reasons why I have held off on publishing book two, "The Prince's Assassin". The first reason being that I wanted to wait until we return to the United States this summer because I will then have better opportunities to meet with people in person, and find an agent, etc. The second reason also has to do with why there haven't been many posts recently... I've had the great opportunity given to me to graduate a year early. It is a very complicated and difficult process in which I have to invest all the more time in extra classes and school work. I am trying my very best and am very motivated, but it does take away from some of my writing time.

However, the good news is that I graduate in five months exact from this date, June 8th 2015! Wow, now that I'm saying that, I realize just how close the date is... haha. Well…

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! As I was sitting watching the fireworks out of my window last night, I couldn't help but write down all of the things that I have to look forward to this year, 2015. I have to say that the list was quite plentiful and that made me smile. I've never done that before, but I thought that optimism would be a good way to start off the new year. A few of the things that I included on my list of things to look forward to including elements of books and writing. I would like to share those with you. :) First, I am looking forward to finally having the time to put all of my effort into getting traditionally published, whether it be for The King's Daughter, or for my new book, I want to put myself out there. I am also looking forward to finishing my new book! I am well past the halfway mark, so I just hope that I can continue on a steady pace to get it finished. I am also looking forward to expanding my audience, inspiring others to write, to publish, and to put them…
