The Girl in the Steel Corset

I just finished reading the Girl in the Steel Corset from the Steampunk chronicles. I have to say it was pretty amazing and kept me on edge the whole way. I really believe the author did a great job writing it. My friends all say that the second one isn't that good though so I am not sure if it will be a waste to read it or not?

Published! Success

My book was sent in yesterday! Well and partially today. :P It will be available soon on Amazon almost anywhere for sale. And available on ebook as well. I can't wait. But I am also nervous. What if it doesn't turn out exactly how I wanted it? I am worried the font size will be too big and people will make fun. Or that everyone will just say it is good because they think that is what I want to hear. They are wrong. I do want to hear if it sucks. I don't want to hear it too much though. But BE honest because I know if everyone says they love it, they are lying. i need to hear if someone doesn't like it because it is that criticism that can tell me what I have to change to make better for the next book that comes along. (if I get to it.)

Adding on

I decided I am going to add more pages to this blog. I started writing a new story. About me, and my experiences living where I do. I had a blog going for a while about my travels in Germany. Now this story that I am writing, I think is starting to feel like it would make great for a blog because it is written in that sort of way. So look out! I will be making a few changes soon.

Entering the right era

Most authors write about modern day happenings, and they don't really need to do a lot to get an inspiration. (just my opinion) but some authors who write in different eras need a little more inspiration. I know it sounds cheesy, but I love to go to medieval festivals. I love to dress up and go there and pretend like I am living in those days. It isn't only fun, but it is great inspiration for writing because it gives me the actually feeling of being in my book, to help with those details that some might not have if they haven't actually experienced it themselves.

Meetings as the date draws near

Today I met again with my editor and had a great conversation, going over our last edit check to make sure that I am firm in my decisions and that everything is mechanically correct. I did slip in a new part within the first six chapters, to add just more detail to the book but I really loved it so I hope you guys will too!

          Have  a good week!
